Rainbow Quest - Featuring Doc Watson and The Stanley Brothers

This video contains two of Pete Seeger's Rainbow Quest TV shows from the 1960's. In one show, Doc appears with Clint Howard on guitar and Fred Price on fiddle. They do a number of traditional tunes out of their "Old Timey Concert" repertoire. The other show features Stanley Brothers. The group at that time included both Carter Stanley and George Shuffler on guitar and is a real treat. Carter Stanleydied within a year of filming this show.

Doc's Guitar Jam

Recorded at the 1992 Merle Watson Festival, this incredible jam session brings together five masters of flatpicking guitar -- Doc Watson, Tony Rice, Dan Crary, Jack Lawrence and Steve Kaufman. Together they harmonize, improvise and burn the strings on a set of fiddle tunes, country classics and hot guitar instrumentals.
